The shaft with a keyway is used in small motors, while the armature shaft with two keyways is mainly used in large motors, because the iron core and the armature shaft are combined with the keyway, which is very firm.

2.armature shaftAccording to the shaft extension shape, it can be divided into cylindrical shaft extension shaft, conical shaft extension shaft and shaft extension shaft with half coupling. Cylindrical armature shaft is not only convenient to process but also used in motors. The bolts fastened by conical armature shaft are more troublesome to process, but the assembly and disassembly are very convenient and are generally used in special motors. Shafts with half coupling are mainly used in hydro generators and large DC motors.
