What are the plunger metering pump precautions
Metering pump is a kind of special positive displacement pump that can meet various strict process requirements, and its flow rate can beStepless adjustment in the range of 0-100%, used to transport liquids (especially corrosive liquids). Metering pump is also called quantitative pump or proportional pump. The metering pump is a reciprocating positive displacement pump. For accurate metering, it is usually required that the stable accuracy of the metering pump does not exceed 1%. With the development of modern industry to the situation of automatic operation and remote automatic control, the advantages of metering pump with strong matching and wide adaptability to medium (liquid) are particularly prominent.

In order to ensure metering accuracy, pump valves and sealing devices have higher requirements than ordinary reciprocating pumps, and the materials of their parts are selected according to the nature of the liquid to be transported.
Plunger metering pump directly sucks and discharges the working medium through the reciprocating motion of the plunger(yellow). Since the plunger and seal are in contact with the medium, selecting the appropriate plunger material and sealing form can ensure the ideal performance of the pump during operation.
Plunger metering pumps include valved pumps and valpless pumps. Plunger metering pump is widely used in petrochemical industry because of its simple structure, high temperature and high pressure resistance. The plunger is made of stainless steel and oxidized ceramic, which has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high hardness and wear resistance.
Before using the new pump, clean the anti-corrosion grease on the pump and check whether the bolts at each connection are tightened and not loose.
Inject mechanical oil into the gear box and transmission box(GB3141-82), the oil volume is controlled at the center line of the oil mark. The choice of mechanical oil: N46 is selected in summer and N32 is selected in winter. Fill the cup with N20 mechanical oil.
Manually operate the metering pump to make the plunger reciprocate1~2 limit large stroke. There can be no blockage. Then, the zero point of the pump stroke corresponds to the zero point of the meter to prevent the meter pointer from drifting during transportation. Open the valve on the inlet and outlet pipes, start the motor, check the motor circuit, and make the pump rotate in the specified rotation direction. Select the limit of the large stroke of the discharge liquid, so that the air in the hydraulic cylinder is completely discharged. Rotate the handle to calibrate the displacement of the pump. After adjusting to the set displacement, the locking screw of the adjusting handle should be tightened to avoid loosening due to impact and changing flow.
After the pump runs normally under normal pressure, the discharge pressure gradually increases to the rated value. Check for leaks at the plunger packing. If the leak exceeds every minute10 drops, the packing compression nut should be properly tightened, and the compression force should ensure that the plunger will not be blocked or leaked.
Check for temperature rise. The allowable temperature rise of the motor is70. The temperature of the lubricating oil in the transmission box does not exceed 65, and the temperature of the stuffing box does not exceed 70. If the temperature rise is too high, stop the machine for inspection, and then start the machine after troubleshooting.
After the pump is started, it should run smoothly. Apart from the rhythmic beating of the check valve, there should be no special noise, let aloneThe "sick" work. The liquid delivered by the pump cannot have solid particles or impurities greater than 0.1mm, otherwise it will directly affect the displacement accuracy of the pump. It is recommended to install a filter on the inlet pipe of the pump.
